Ultrasonic

Scientech offers Ultrasonic Testing services using state of the art equipments. It has approved by Aerospace industries for conducting ultrasonic for their stringent requirement.

Scientech also offers Ultrasonic Thickness gauging and coating thickness measurement.

Ultrasonic is conducted on castings, forgings and weldments.

Scientech is equipped with all the test blocks (both Steel and Aluminium) required for the calibration. All the equipments are periodically calibrated. Ultrasonic testing is done by propogating ultrasonic waves through the solid body to measure material properties and property alterations throughout the volume of the object.

The main advantages of ultrasonic are
1) It can be used for the materials which has access from only one end
2) Sizing and positioning of defects can be done.
3) It is a relatively inexpensive method of non destructive testing.
